I have always stored the Mic with a tight fitting plastic basket cover when not in use see picture. Here is what the Mic-Parts. The Mic comes with the plastic basket cover, power supply, cord and holder.

This Mic has never been used for vocals; it only a nylon stringed guitar. This Mic was used in my home studio only central heat and air, no pets, kids for own recordings. I thought that needed to have many Mics on a nylon string guitar, but in the end found one Mic was lot less trouble when recording and editing.
