Really robust construction; solid milled stainless body with a heavy mesh grill. From Astatic: The 840S is a miniaturized and light weight dynamic lavalier microphone engineered to prevent chest cavity resonance. Cool MCM vintage dynamic lav. I tested it and works great.

It is finished in non-reflective brushed satin chrome. Impossible to kill. Low Impedance. Very low noise, would make a good harp mic but it need Hi-Z adapter.

The 840S has a DuPont Mylar diaphragm providing stability, long life and is unaffected by moisture temperature swings. The microphone includes a spring tie clip, neck cord with holder and 30 foot cable. Lanyard cord. It features a recessed on/off switch to convert the lavalier an hand held omnidirectional response pattern.
