Not sure if these mics are designed that way or this is a side effect of age. Needs phantom power. See pictures for condition. Worth noting that theres a little give in-between the capsule and body of mic.

Regardless, the mic is in working order. It works and sounds fine, just never use it. It was well used before I got it, but it works. This is a JTS JS1 NOT 1E.
