Interestingly, the best use I found for it was close-mincing glockenspiel. The mic had a way of making the sound glockenspiel less brittle and more pleasant to ears. Note that this is a condenser mic, so it requires 48 volts of phantom power in order to capture any sound out from. Also included is the original Electro Voice case for mic.

The sound of the mic is a bit cloudy and it tends to round off any hard transients. The mic itself works, but with some caveats: from what I remember its been a while since used it, there is constant low hum a grounding problem, perhaps. The condition of the mic see pics is fairly rough. I don't know.

This mic was apparently used on a Donna Fargo 1970s country singer/songwriter tour, hence the stenciled DONNA FARGO lettering side. Its entirely possible, I suppose. Realistically, this mic is good for two things: its as a special effects if you are an audio engineer particularly that needs to record glockenspiel! or interesting piece of country music history especially you re Donna Fargo fan. Some of the paint has chipped off and there is some corrosion by XLR terminals.

Was this a mic that Donna herself used for singing.
