I'm only selling this because I make offers on two sets and they were both accepted at the same time. I have tested it through a millennia preamps and it sounds exactly as it should. The 's' version has a built in high pass filter in the capsule. If you aren't worried about cosmetics, this is an excellent deal as the sound is stellar and the unit functions perfectly.

I chose to keep the stereo pair and sell the single mic. Schoeps describes it as. The mic body has cosmetic imperfections, as pictured. I pack with great care and am fast to ship.

Unlike some of the other model's, the cmc5 u one runs on regular 48v phantom power via XLR cable. If you are not familiar, the cmc5 body will work with a wide number of new and older Schoeps capsules. You can remove the mk41s easily and even sell it if you decide you want different capsules the mk41s is a version of the popular super cardio id mk41. It's nearly the same as the newer cmc6, but the cmc5 has a slightly different high pass and it's discreet which some say they prefer to the newer model.

Comes with original Schoeps box. I compared it to my cmc6 pair and the noise floor was the same extremely low noise, as was the tone when I switched capsules between the two.

The roll off of its low frequency response is offset by proximity effect at close working distances. They do not have any influence on the sound and the capsule seems to be in fantastic shape as the top end sounds exactly like my mk41 pair but the 41s has the high pass.

Freq response is 80hz to 20khz.
