Cosmetically in good shape, although the mtg silk screened logo has worn off. Microtech Gefell UM70 multi pattern fet condenser microphone.

Microphone is in good working condition. Neumann Gefell was later named Microtech Gefell after german unification in the 1990 Capsule originally designed in 1930's by neumann founder, George neumann, and continually manufactured by original east german factory to original specs and materials since before WWII.

Um70 capsule head features switchable car diode, Omani, and figure 8 patterns. Also well known in voice over circles. Rear switches for 10db pad, and low frequency roll off. Recently used to record pedal steel guitar.

This UM70 is the transformer version giving it a warmer color and texture than the current transformer less version, the umt70. Microphone is powered with 48v phantom power.

Exceptional versatile microphone, the UM70 capsule head can be removed and the body can be used with other mtg or neumann Gefell capsules available like the m94, m70, m69, m93, m73, and car diode only m7 head, m71. The UM70 has been a Nashville recording scene favorite for many years giving incredible acoustic guitar and vocal recordings.
